Vastu Shastra, A special education
According to Hindu tradition, Vastu Shastra is ancient
science that drive us how to construct and decorate the house so that we can
get internal peace, prosperity and happiness in our life. The principle of
Vastu Shastra, a special education is related to the five things in the
universe. They are land, water, fire, sky and wind. These five basic things are
called five principles. These five principles make earth a place to live for
human beings. And according to Vastu Shastra, human body is also made of these
five things.
The reaction between these makes an energy that effects the
environment of the universe. These energies may be useful or harmful to us. If
there is balance between these five elements and our body then we can achieve
happiness, prosperity and peace. If the balance between these things goes wrong
then it can make negative impact on the life of human beings.
For the Construction of house and the decoration, we should
consider the art of Vastu Shastra. If we follow the rules of vastu Shastra, it
is believed that it will be fruitful to us. For example while constructing a
house, if we consider the direction of placing doors and windows for the house
then they can give positive impact to our life and help our life.
Bhumi(Earth)
Bhumi or land or earth is the third nearest planet in solar
system to the sun. Also the magnetic force of North and South poles of the
earth makes it suitable place for human habitat. The magical layer and
gravitational force of the earth makes a better environment for all living and
non living thing. Due to the nature of the earth and magnetic energy of poles
of earth, it is better to sleep placing the head to south direction. Due to
this we can get lot of energy from earth which can be good for our life also.
Jal (Water)
Water, rainfall, lakes, river and seas are source of liquid
or Jal. These water sources are necessary for all human beings as well as other
non living things. Our human body also has hemoglobin, oxygen and water. The
quantitative portion of water is more than other principle elements. Both human
body and earth have more portion of water. They have around 80 percentage of
total amount. Vastu Shastra determines the placement of well, boring and water
tankers in the home so that we have positive impact of these elements in our
life.
Vayu (Wind)
One of the most important elements of our life is vayu or
wind. The Human body has direct or indirect impact of vayu, wind, pressure and
clouds. Vastu Shastra also tells us where to place doors, windows and attic to
the house so that the flow of wind can help in our life. According to this
education, the flow of wind should go from north-east direction toward the
house.
Agni (Fire)
The power of fire, brightness, warm, days, night, seasons
shows energy and power in life. The light of sun to the earth is the one source
of energy. The cooking place, gas geezers should be placed in south side. Also
we should plant large trees and plants to south side of our house so that the
harmful effect of the sun can be minimized.
Aakash (Sky)
Aakash or sky directly or indirectly affects all living and
non living being in this universe. The sky element acts as living source for
human life. The center part of the house must be open and the light of sun must
easily pass through it otherwise the prosperity and progress of the person will
be hampered.
These five elements have unseen but direct relationship
between them. Getting the knowledge of these five elements, we should construct
our house. If there is balance between these elements then the family
environment of our house is maintained. The spiritual environment, resource and
happiness of the house depend on these vastu or elements.
