2. Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi(IIT Delhi)

CITY: New Delhi  

The college was established in 1961 as CET(college of Engineering and Technology). It was developed later in 1963 as an Indian Institute of Technology. The college has high reputation for infrastructure and academic reputation as well. The college is located at Hauz Khas in South Delhi.

3. Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur(IIT Kharagpur)

CITY: Kharagpur  

This is the first IIT institute that was established in 1951. The institute has moto of "Yoga Karmashu Kaushalam". This institute has many departments of Engineering like Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural & Food Engineering, Architecture & Regional Planning, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Communication Engineering, Geology & Geophysics etc. This is the largest campus among IIT College.

4.  Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT ROORKEE)

CITY: Roorkee 
This institute was established in 1847 and is one of the oldest technical institute in whole Asia. The college was declared as one of the IIT on 2001 only. It has 14 different branches for bachelor level and 55 for post graduate degrees.

The institute was established in 1959 with technical and financial assistance from the Government of the Germany. The institute has tied with Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiments of CERN (European Laboratory for Particle Physics).

IIt Guwahati was also ranked top 100 world's dynamic young university by Times magazine. The institute was established in 1994 and the IIT program was in 1995.
